How to get Google to index your site fast.

To understand how to get indexed, we need to examine how google actually indexes sites. Let’s pretend you have a brand new site. You have built some content and you are now waiting and wondering when Google is going to notice you. Google spiders crawl through the internet looking for new things all the time. Typically, they discover sites via links that are pointing out to someone else’s site.

  • In other words, let’s say that you are Site A. You have no links from any other sites.
  • You happen to go to a popular forum and point a link to your site in your signature.
  • Google crawls this site. This is what happens. Going from the top left of the forum, they will start to gather words and move on down. Each time they reach a link, they place this “in queue” to visit once they are finished crawling the page.
  • They find your site link and will eventually follow it to your site, and crawl your page looking for more links to follow.
  • And so on and so forth.

Some pages get crawled more often. This depends largely on how active the site it. In some cases, a site is crawled every minute because the site is constantly changing.. Alternatively, some sites are crawled once a month because the site doesn’t update very often. Read more…

3 SEO Don’ts Do

Category: seo    |    147 views    |    Add a Comment  |

With SEO being a buzz word of the times every body wants their website to be search engine friendly and up there in the first page rankings, but there are some errors which people are regularly making when trying to optimize their sites that are preventing them from getting the first page listings that they are striving for. The following is a list of 3 SEO don’ts when optimizing your website.

Don’t use the same page title on every page on your website. By using your different keywords in the page titles of the different pages on your site and making those pages more specific to those keywords you increase your chances of being listed on the search engines for more than one set of keywords.

Don’t forget to use your keywords within the content of the pages on your website. Be sure to use your keywords in the body text on your page but do not over use them by just sticking them in here, there and everywhere! Also, make sure that your keywords are in the ALT tags of any images that are on the page. This is another place where keywords can be used but again, be careful of the overuse of a keyword - you do not want to risk being penalised by the search engines.  Read more…

7 SEO Marketing Tips to Send You to the Top in GOOGLE

Category: seo    |    143 views    |    Add a Comment  |

SEO marketing tips can be found everywhere on the web. Unfortunately, many of these are outdated, are understandable only to experts, or are completely useless for your particular situation. These SEO marketing tips are based on current SEO trends and are applicable to every website.

1. Dismiss everything you thought you knew about SEO marketing. Things are changing rapidly, and unless you are in the loop our your information is less than a year old, you are probably behind the times.

2. Get rid of keyword and description metatags. These tags do not hold much sway, if any, with search engines anymore. Additionally, all your competition has to do is “view source” on their web browser and know exactly what keywords you are targeting.

3. Because description tags are not used or ignored, the first paragraph of your web content is crucial. This content is the first thing the search engines index, and it is the part of your site that comes up in the search results. Make sure it is keyword oriented.

4. Keywords and phrases are important for SEO marketing, but don’t overdo it. A keyword density of about 3-5% is enough to get the attention of the search engines, and will keep your content human friendly. If you spam your keywords and phrases all over your site, search engines can and will ban you from their listings entirely.

5. Buy a domain that contains your keywords. If you already have a domain that is not SEO oriented, you can buy a better one and point it to your existing site. The first sites to pop up in a search will be those that have the keyword in the URL.

6. Avoid duplicate content. If you place an article on an article directory, don’t use it on your website. Never copy content from other sites, either. Not only is it plagiarism, but the search engines tend to ignore duplicate content.

Come up to my site Top in GOOGLE

Tips that will make your website come up first

* Internal linking is very important: External links are very important but I have lots of pages that show on the top of the results in Google without having any external links pointing to them and without having any page rank . The other very important tip is to let the internal link’s anchor text contain the same keywords your original article has. For example when linking to your article that is called “How to become rich fast” from another page don’t give the link the title “making money” or “Getting rich” but instead call it “How to become rich fast.”

* Write articles that match popular search keywords: Your article’s title , keywords and header tags should match popular search keywords. For example if people always search for the keywords “How to become rich fast” then your article should be optimized for this key phrase. For example your article’s title and URL path should not be “how to make money” or “how to earn thousands of dollars” but instead it should be “How to become rich fat”.
